Uniforms

The Venturing program does not require participants to wear uniforms.  However, uniforms create a visual identity for each Crew, foster team work, and simply look sharp.

At Crew 55, participants have the following options for uniforms:

  • Official BSA spruce green Venturing shirt with optional gray pants
  • Crew 55 olive green long-sleeve shirt with optional khaki pants
  • Troop 55 BSA uniform (for those members who are also registered participants of T-55)
  • Crew 55 short-sleeve knit shirt with any kind of pants (these shirts are no longer available for sale)
  • BSA Venturing short-sleeve knit shirt with optional gray pants

Of these, the leadership of Crew 55 recommends that each participant purchase the Crew 55 long-sleeve shirt.  The purchase of the khaki pants is also recommended unless the participant already owns similar khaki pants.  As described below, Crew 55 will pay part of the cost of this special Crew 55 uniform.
