Kayaking on the San Marcos River

Event description:
As part of the Troop 55 campout at El Rancho Cima, members of the Crew and older T-55 scouts
went to the kayaking area of the San Marcos River Park near downtown San Marcos.
After some discussion of paddling techniques and safety, all paddlers got in their kayaks
and practiced escapes and rescues.
Each participant then paddled his kayak through the three water chutes and practiced surfing.
